VIC Framework

VOICE

Educators and parents both have essential roles in promoting positive outcomes in literacy and benefit from collaborative discussions with trained

professionals to bridge the gap and make sense of the noise.

Collaborative conversations with all stakeholders and implementers addressing both mindset and instructional barriers are essential components that are addressed throughout the framework.

Honest conversations that acknowledge the voices of all members sharing personal and professional experiences, concerns, goals, & visions set the foundation for an "initial" level of respect and trust needed when reorganizing and building new solid systems and procedures.

Collaborative conversations are the foundation to making real changes in your community and organization.

INSTRUCTION

VIC uses a combination of its own training, programming, and strategies that align with the decades of research referred to as "the science of reading" or "structured literacy", as well as the highly respected and highly effective Barton Reading & Spelling System as it main literacy component.

While the Barton System provides strong, complete programming to ALL learners, it is also the necessary component to address missing literacy skills in struggling students, and those that fit a dyslexic learning profile.

Strong precision of technical skills that involve speech sound discrimination, awareness, memory and production are supported by a certified speech-language pathologist trained in dyslexia and literacy best practices to ensure success.

Personal experience as a parent and professional experience adding more students to trial strategies and programming implementation are an added layer that VIC training provides your organization.

Structured literacy benefits all learners due to its precision leading to evidence-based outcomes.  It is the expected programming to move any student at a rapid pace to grade level literacy skills in decoding, fluency, and comprehension.

Presentations are designed to answer your questions and increase your knowledge in targeted content areas.  Training not only provides the "what" and "why", but also the "how" to support building precision for the critical and relevant skills you are seeking to make an observable difference in your school, family, or community.

All sessions are simplified with the essential "need to know" information to serve as a foundation to make each training and collaborative conversation more meaningful to produce faster results.

VIC instruction has the main goal of teaching organizations the critical components that produce results in academic literacy, leading to social-emotional and behavioral improvements for students and families.   Essential components must be taught, understood, and delivered by implementers with an extremely high-level of precision to produce VIC changes for your organization.

VIC structure provides this high level of support to ensure success at each level of learning & implementation.

CONNECTION

As you directly implement your new learning based on core information and expected procedures, the results will be clear as you follow a step-by-step process.  The VIC step by step process will ensure you are understanding and correctly implementing new material taught with fidelity to produce the required results in each step of the transformative process.

Solid respect and trust connections are built through the success of the instruction, proof of results, and the change in narrative for those we serve.  Positive shifts in the culture of your organization are expected and celebrated.

VIC looks forward to building our next connection with you and your community and sharing our transformations!
